Hi everyone ! Adriana here, live and in computer form. I am SO happy to be writing to you as one of your future Senators ;)

perhaps a cliché at this point ... "What makes Stanford, Stanford is THE PEOPLE .... " & it's exactly Why I am running for senate ! This school is extraordinary because of all of YOU and I look forward to continuing to make Stanford a place of Belonging, Creative, Freedom, and Community.

AREAS OF ACTION

Support community centers and student dedicated spaces
Support co-ops
Prioritize Activism & Advocacy by building support and protection for students
Maintaining an ASSU that represents what is important to ALL students
Support the arts, creating more opportunities for artists to create and showcase on campus
Create accessible spaces for active student feedback
Expand dining hall resources for cultural events and allergy accommodations
Address campus "neutrality" to create safe and honest spaces for discussion and discourse
Increase the time and spaces alluded for free speech on campus
Advocate for clearer justifications behind administrative decisions
Create and implement University Know Your Rights resources
Application and funding support for Volunteer Student Organizations (VSO) and clubs

EXPERIENCE

Stanford American Indian Organization (SAIO) Co-Chair
Co-led efforts to reinstate the Land Acknowledgment
Collaborated with current Senate members
Met with Provost Jenny Martinez and other faculty
Led and participated in student activism
Familiar with Stanford's bureaucracies
