Hi, I’m Kylie Price, and I’m a sophomore studying Public Policy and Human Rights and I’m running for Undergraduate Senate! I’m running to ensure the student government meaningfully invests in the organizations, communities, and causes that make Stanford vibrant.

My background as an environmental & gun violence prevention activist has been incredibly valuable to me in collective organization, negotiation of diverse perspectives, and—most importantly—getting things done.

As a senator I hope to work on…

1. Expanding Stanford’s Sustainability Goals On & Off Campus
  • As part of Appropriations, I’ll push to increase funding for sustainability initiatives.
  • Partner with groups like Students for Sustainable Stanford, VSOs, and research labs to translate environmental expertise into actionable institutional policy.
  • Ensure Stanford is on track to meet its net-zero greenhouse gas emissions goal by 2050 with transparent benchmarks.
  • Partner with Indigenous communities and Palo Alto stakeholders to advance environmental justice and land stewardship—because sustainability shouldn’t just be for the Stanford bubble.
  • Redraft the land acknowledgment + put our commitments into practice, not just for formality.
  • Continue pushing toward full divestment from the fossil fuel industry.

2. Creating Safe Spaces for Student Discourse
  • Work with diverse student communities to strengthen inclusive dialogue across perspectives and identities.
  • Expand engagement in Democracy Day, increase voter registration access, and support civic participation + protect the right of VSOs and student activists to peacefully protest.
  • Take clear stances against policies that isolate or endanger students, including ICE collaboration.
  • Support DEI initiatives, expand theme housing, and help co-ops regain their statuses!

3. Making Student Government Work for You
  • Simplify and clarify the funding process so smaller and emerging VSOs aren’t navigating unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • Increase transparency in how Appropriations decisions are made.
  • Create clearer channels for students to propose ideas directly to the Senate.

You deserve to know where money is going—and how it benefits you.

At the end of the day…
The most important part of my platform: your voice.

Whether it’s losing fridges in our dorms, finding a solid vegan meal, wishing campus felt more alive on weekends, or wondering why your car gets ticketed no matter where you park—no issue is too small. I want to turn complaints into solutions and conversations with you into change.
