I have served in SGWU leadership for two years, and my sole reason for running for GSC is to strengthen communication between it and our Union. As one of the writers of the graduate worker contract, I helped secure key protections and benefits—including fair wages, work hour limits, and workplace safety. I believe that better coordination will enhance our Union’s bargaining power, which has historically led to significant improvements in graduate worker quality of life.
