Hey y’all, Ronak Vyas here! I’m a frosh and look forward to getting to know you all if we haven’t met already. Say hi if you see me around! I am running to empower your voices – student government is about what you want to see accomplished.
I have a track record of getting things DONE. Serving as student body president for over 2,200 peers, we implemented a recycling system from scratch, brought puppies in during exam periods, and more.
On campus, I am an active member of Stanford Tae Kwon Do and Cycling, as well as SIAS, Rem & Company, and the Blyth Fund. I am also a current Senate Associate, where I have gained insights into the ASSU and have begun to identify areas for improvement.
Now, let’s list just some of the things we’ll work to accomplish.
2. Increasing bike rackavailability (especially at Lathrop and Tressider), and clearing out old, abandoned bikes.
3. Bringing in additional tailgates and concerts – all free for students!
4. Centralizing social event discovery through a clean, simple mobile app, developed by students.
5. Budget transparency – simplifying funding paperwork to reduce confusion and publicizing financial data that is hard to find for the average student.
6. Expanding gym hours, such as opening Nearillaga at 8 am on weekends.
7. Bringing in additional resources to destress – consistent puppies on campus!
8. Subsidizing LinkedIn Premium, to empower your career dreams.
9. Strengthening WiFi indoors and adding connectivity in outdoor spaces, so we can enjoy the weather while working hard!
As your Senator, we will work to accomplish these goals together. When voting for Ronak, you bestow upon me a mandate to realize what I promised – and I will keep you all updated. This is my tenth goal, and the most important – I will give my all to deliver on what you want to see at Stanford, and get things DONE!
Please reach out! I am always glad to chat, discuss your ideas for our school, and share more about my plans for Senate (likely at Coupa, given the tremendous weather!): ronak.vyas@stanford.edu
Vote Ronak for a shared vision that I will tirelessly work to realize.
